Next Parental Anger workshop series starts Spring 2024.

Getting angry doesn’t make you a bad parent or a bad person. Anger is human. Hell, it’s mammalian. Anger helps us recognize our values and when they are transgressed. Anger serves a purpose.

Trying to be rid of anger is impossible and a set-up for failure. We need anger and we need use it appropriately. It’s when we try to stuff anger that it becomes a problem. Push it down and it will push back, explosive and destructive.

The more at ease you are with anger, the better you can weather it, and the better off you and your family will be.

This workshop brings together a small group of parents getting comfortable with getting mad. It's an exercise in making friends with anger, so your expression of it aligns with your values and vision for yourself and your family.

JOIN ME IN THIS PARENTAL ANGER WORKSHOP FOR:

Information and insight - Each meeting begins with coach-led teaching about the purpose and uses of frustration, anger, and aggression so that you can develop a better relationship with anger and have a vision and plan for expressing it in ways that are useful and appropriate.

Group coaching - Coaching for your individual challenges gives you support specific to your needs and your family’s. The group context gives you access to questions and insights you didn’t even know you needed to hear.

Peer support - In addition to parent coaching from Jenni, you'll give and receive informal support within the group. Learn from others’ challenges, and experience the deep reassurance that comes with shared experiences.

Assignments and practices - Taking action in small practical steps during and between meetings allows you to make meaningful shifts in your relationship with anger.

A small group experience (max 12) - Meetings are large enough to support a rich conversation and small enough so you can be heard and make real connections.

90-minute online meetings (4 total) -  Ninety-minute gatherings strike a balance between unhurried conversation and focused action. Get right into content and relax into connection without taking much time from your day, wherever you are located.

One-on-one follow up call - A 30 minute individual coaching call scheduled approximately 4 weeks following the group is included so you are personally and confidentially supported, because this isn't a quick fix. Reflect on what’s shifted and have a touchpoint for your ongoing intentions and actions.

Affordable support. The $300 workshop fee gives you personalized help at a cost significantly lower than individual coaching.

Every parent has done or said things in anger that they regret. If your expression of anger has caused repeated physical or emotional injury to a child, I urge you to seek the support of a licensed therapist rather than parent coaching. I would be happy to refer you.
